Integrated Rigless Well Plug and Abandonment Services to be Provided for Chevron’s Well Plug and Abandonment Program in the Gulf of Thailand
BANGKOK, Thailand, February 19, 2023 – EEST Energy Services (Thailand), a global offshore contractor and service provider, announced today that it has been awarded a contract worth over $55 million USD by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co., Ltd. The contract entails the provision of rigless well plug and abandonment (RLU) services for Chevron’s well plug and abandonment program, starting in 2023.
Under the terms of the contract, EEST will perform integrated Rigless Pulling Unit (RPU) services, in line with Chevron’s business plan for well plug and abandonment. The scope of work includes pumping, cementing, slickline, cold cutting, and tubular handling related services in the Gulf of Thailand.
The project is scheduled to commence in April 2023, with completion expected by December 2028. EEST anticipates that the contract will contribute positively to the company’s revenue, manpower growth, and the overall sustainability of its core business throughout the duration of the contract.
